Legendary Dasari Narayana Rao’s fight against the ‘Theatre Mafia’ and his continuous efforts to save the Telugu cinema is very well known. He takes advantage in every cine function to raise the sword with his sensational and controversial comments. At ‘Ee Rojullo’ 100 days celebration, Dasari once again took the liberty to attack the bunch of producers who are showing their monopoly in theatre market.
‘I will chop all those who look down upon ‘Small’ budgeted films. Who is ‘Big’ here and who is ‘Small’? Success will decide it. There is nothing bigger than a Success. In last six to seven years, I enjoyed only three films with my heart. One is ‘Bommarillu,’ second one is ‘Ala Modalaindi’ and third is ‘Ee Rojullo.’ Any film which wins the affection and love of audience is a ‘Big’ film but not those films which will have their shootings in America or any other country with huge investments.
I will soon start an agitation against the ‘Theatre Mafia.’ Even a big release like ‘Julaayi’ is facing shortage of theatres. Then, how difficult could be the situation of real ‘Small’ budgeted films?’ Dasari questioned.
