TSR did not care for Dasari?!

As a prelude to felicitation of ANR on completion of his 75 years of film career a couple of years back, we need to remind the pungent remarks of Dasari Narayana Rao on felicitating the same old set of people for the same old reasons while talented youngsters were being ignored. These comments were made at felicitation of Telugu Editor Pravin when he won National Award for ‘Aranya Kandam.’ Although these remarks created some ripples but did not stir a hornet’s nest as our industry is known for sycophancy as some people and business houses have a vice like grip on every aspect of the film industry.

So, film industry and it various wings honored ANR yesterday grandly. T. Subbirami Reddy known for his philanthropic and cultural acumen organized the event in his typical pompous style bringing stars of yesteryears including Anjali Devi, Saroja Devi, Vani Sri besides a galaxy of heroines who acted with ANR on to one stage. Looks like neither TSR nor any of the wings of Tollywood cared for the words of Dasari.
