Jr. NTR starrer ‘Oosaravelli’ opened to record breaking collections last week has been shortened following the reviews and word of mouth reports complaining that length is a problem. It runs for almost 2 hrs and 45 minutes.

In most of the reviews, it was written that the second half is a bit dragging while the first half is very racy. The comments must have sunk well with people who matter they decided to trim the film to suit the audience taste. Some of the fight sequences were shortened and the revised version would be more compact, analysts feel.

Even ‘Lagaan,’ though there were no dragging scenes, had to be edited to reduce the length of the 224-minute film before sending as an entry to the Oscar in the best foreign language film category. The comparison ends with the trimming of the film and nothing beyond that. Neither 'Oosaravelli' is a 'Lagaan' nor NTR is an Aamir Khan.
