It seems the Telugu Film Industry has adopted a new strategy to ward away the threat from dubbing films and at the same time to share the spoils among themselves giving room to everyone to share the revenue.
Filmmakers of top heroes, hereafter, it appears have come to an understanding and space their releases accordingly.
Earlier, it would be a mad rush of films during festival season with all the top banners and stars vying with each other and share the collections.
Trends have now changed. It is spacing and planning that Tollywood is looking for. Dukudu was released with no other top film around that week and the following week as well. After a gap of two weeks, comes the turn of Jr NTR-starrer Ossaravilli.
There would be no interruption for another two weeks, in all probabilities for the next big picture. In between films like Madatha Kaja and the like keep coming and going, no matter about the result.
Nandmuri Balakrishna with Sri Rama Rajyam and another film, Ganga The Body guard and a couple of other films are almost ready but will be released after analysiing the situation and taking consent of the bigwigs so that the collections will not be affected and no producer will lose out nor stars get jam logged in the heavy rush of films and comparison comes in to full play.
Even film production is, it seems, is programmed in such a way. The big four families try not to clash with each other and carry on the business well.
Though there is a secret desire for everyone to score a bigger hit than Pokiri or garner more collections than Magadheera.
Every star, director and producer wants his film to rewrite the records.
How far this trend of pausing for release and spacing the films work is something which we have to wait and see.
