>Nara Rohith starrer “Baanam” is unanimously declared as a movie with different touch. Even though movie is faring well with ‘A’ class audience, the fate of the movie is declared as a failure by few critics. Irrespective of all these, “Baanam” is a product from Ashwini Dutt’s company which is primarily known for huge budgets. The startup of “Three Angels” banner by Dutt and his daughters and their first venture has shown that there is altogether a different world of Telugu cinema even for the new comers.
Till yesterday, there was a culture of “Main Theatre” in all major cities of Andhra Pradesh. Example, any one of the theatres in which a major heroes movie is released across RTC X Road in Hyderabad was treated as a main theatre. With the onset of Multiplex culture, slowly the concept is loosing its meaning. “Baanam”, the movie from the families (Nara & Nandamuri) who made their big strides in the film industry will always be looked by the fans from the view point of collections and records in this main theatre. But keeping aside this so called ‘Culture’, ‘Baanam’ has set a new trend of running a movie without a main theatre. Kudos to both Nara Rohith and Ashwini Dutt’s family
