T-town film makers have exploited only one face of B-town bad boy Sonu Sood. He was limited to monotonous villain roles after that scary act of ‘Vadala Bommali…Vadala ’ as Pasupathi in ‘Arundhathi.’ Apparently the macho man might have got too many accolades from top stars like Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan for his acting capabilities in Hindi flicks but the recent release of ‘Kandireega’ has marked the visibility of new comic face in him.
Puri Jagannath’s ‘Ek Niranjan’ is also a different one for Sonu but the positive hit result of ‘Kandireega’ and the way his characterization turns key in second half pulling the comedy element made audience to award him distinction marks. Thanks to Santosh Srinivas, as more directors will now start tapping the versatile potentiality in Sonu Sood.
