Maverick Puri Jagannath is acknowledged as a fultoo mass director capable of hitting the Box Office very hard. Films like ‘Pokiri’ prove his stamina not just as a successful director but also as a successful dialogue and screenplay writer. Off late he is unable to come out of ‘Pokiri’ magic and many of his movies done with mafia and Police backdrop bombed highly decreasing his reputation.
During this crucial exigency, he joined the team of Ramgopal Varma who re-entered into Tollywood with a purpose. Insiders say, Puri’s logics and thought is severely influenced by Varma in this short term friendship. Effect is that a film like ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ arrived last week in theatres. Although there is enough strength in content of this flick, Puri seems to have followed the picturization groove of Varma by dragging the scenes unnecessarily missing the science of reasoning. Now, Puri going to Bollywood for ‘Bbuddah’ is also exactly similar to Varma’s Bollywood entry after failing in Tollywood makes clear that Puri is in the foot steps of Varma. Well, many in the industry are declaring without a whisker of doubt that ace director Puri is spoiled in the company of RGV. Unlike Varma, if Puri handled ‘NNR’ in his own style, who knows this could have been a hit.
