Ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan’s adventurous film ‘Urumi’ released a week ago in Malayalam is doing wonders. With a sky of star cast ranging from Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva to Genelia, Tabu and Vidya Balan, entire film is set in the backdrop of a warrior clan in Kerala set to kill Vasco Da Gama, the Portuguese explorer.
It is no wonder that ‘Urumi’ is a concept that could create magic in any Indian language with a budget of Rs.20 Crores plus. It was Santosh Sivan decided to make it only and only in Malayalam with only objective to take Malluwood into a new realm outside the Indian focus and that is his love towards Malayalam films. Genelia’s performance in the film is hugely applauded and now, ‘Urumi’ is going to be dubbed into four other Indian languages.
