Dil Raju addresses financial crunch rumours. Rumours have been thick and fast that Dil Raju and his Sri Venkateswara Creations landed in huge financial crunch following the disaster of Yash's Toxic. Dil Raju acquired the rights of Toxic in AP and Telangana for a whopping Rs 120crs and it resulted in huge financial losses.

However some say, Dil Raju negotiated a deal returnable-advance arrangement with the film’s producers, including Yash. Under the reported agreement, any deficit is to be refunded to Dil Raju within 45 days, thereby limiting his exposure and shifting much of the financial risk back to the film’s producers.

Even before Toxic, Dil Raju got a huge shock with Ram Charan-Shankar's Game Changer which turned out to be a dud. Its losses amounted to Rs 100crs. Still Dil Raju is negotiating to acquire the Telugu rights of Ranbir Kapoor-Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus Ramayana.

Dil Raju, addressing the financial crunch rumours says “Ups and downs are part of any business. Movie production is no exception. What you are referring to as setbacks, I treat as stepping stones. One has to take risks in business, otherwise you become stagnant. Yes, I’ve had my share of losses. But nothing that is unsolvable. The good news is that films are doing well in Hindi, Telugu and other languages.”
