Slum Dog Zarina Wahab Glimpse Highlights Emotional Core
Puri Jagannadh’s Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road is generating curiosity with Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. The upcoming action drama also features Tabu, Samyuktha, Duniya Vijay, Zarina Wahab, Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh. The latest glimpse introduces Zarina Wahab as Zubeidaa, offering a more emotional perspective on the film’s world.
In the glimpse, Zubeidaa opens up to her son about how circumstances led her to begging at a railway station. The sequence focuses on the hardships and emotions behind the lives of people living on the streets. Zarina Wahab’s portrayal adds a sensitive dimension to Puri Jagannadh’s otherwise action oriented narrative.
Vijay Sethupathi plays a street-dweller who turns into a knife wielding vigilante, according to the teaser. Tabu portrays Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Gauri Hegde, while Samyuktha plays the female lead. The film promises a combination of raw action, human emotions and relationships.
Produced by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla, Slum Dog has completed shooting and entered post-production. Harshavardhan Rameshwar handles the music, with Sam K Naidu on cinematography and Santosh Noozilla editing. The film is planned as a pan India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
