Mandaadi Heading Towards 100 Crore

Soori’s Mandaadi is enjoying a strong theatrical run, with its worldwide gross ₹65+ crore after five days. The film collected ₹47 crore net and ₹55 crore gross in India, while overseas contributed around ₹10 crore. Monday’s ₹11.25 crore net further strengthened its ₹100 crore target.
The film’s reported budget stands at around ₹60 crore, making its current performance particularly encouraging. Mandaadi has also secured Netflix streaming rights, although reports differ on the final value, with a performance linked deal reportedly under discussion. Based on the reported cost, its theatrical breakeven is estimated at roughly ₹90 crore net.
Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi stars Soori alongside Suhas, Mahima Nambiar and Sathyaraj. The film’s ambitious sea based sequences and Soori’s performance have attracted attention, while filmmaker Vetrimaaran has praised it as the first blockbuster from among his former assistants.
Strong audience word of mouth has helped Mandaadi overcome mixed early critical reactions and maintain momentum through the festive period. With ₹65 crore already earned worldwide and the ₹70 crore estimated breakeven approaching, the film has a realistic chance of entering the ₹100 crore club if its second week hold remains strong.
