Rajinikanth Showers Praises On Soori Mandaadi

Superstar Rajinikanth has reportedly watched Soori’s latest film Mandaadi and personally called the actor to appreciate his performance. Soori shared the memorable moment on X, describing Rajinikanth’s words as a blessing. The gesture comes as the coastal drama continues to attract attention for its performances and intense boat racing sequences.
Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, Mandaadi revolves around a traditional sailing boat race along Tamil Nadu’s coastline. The production reportedly involved nearly two months of challenging sea shooting, with difficult conditions adding to the film’s scale. Soori plays the leader of a fishing team, delivering another performance driven role after his successful transition from comedy.
Soori’s transformation into a leading actor gained momentum with Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 1, followed by acclaimed performances in Garudan and other projects. Mandaadi further expands his range by combining emotional drama with physically demanding action. The film also features Suhas, Mahima Nambiar, Sathyaraj, Ravindra Vijay and Bala Saravanan.
GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music, while SR Kathir handles cinematography and Pradeep E Ragav edits the film. Peter Hein, Dhilip Subbarayan and Mahesh Mathew choreographed the action. Following its release, actors including Sivakarthikeyan and Vishnu Vishal also appreciated Soori, adding further momentum to Mandaadi’s positive reception.
