Hanuman Ansh A 2 Crore Budget Film Turns Sleeper Hit

‘Hanuman Ansh’ has emerged as an unexpected Bollywood success story, proving that star power and huge budgets are not always necessary for theatrical success. Made on a reported ₹2 crore budget, the devotional film released on August 6 without significant publicity. Surprisingly, its collections accelerated during the third week, attracting audiences nationwide.

Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ reportedly explores the spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba, portrayed by Shobhinav Satya. Anil Rastogi, Chandan K Anand and Purnima Tiwari are also part of the cast. Rather than depending on action or spectacle, the film focuses on devotion, spirituality, service and the transformation of its central character.

The film reportedly opened with only around ₹10 lakh on its first day, while its first two weeks remained modest. By the end of two weeks, collections were said to be approximately ₹1.48 crore. The turnaround began during the third week, when positive word of mouth reportedly pushed its weekly earnings to nearly ₹10.40 crore.

‘Hanuman Ansh’ reportedly collected around ₹6.25 crore on its fourth Friday and ₹9.25 crore on Saturday, taking its India total to approximately ₹27.38 crore in 23 days. Its theatrical footprint also reportedly expanded beyond 400 screens. The performance highlights the growing audience interest in devotional cinema and makes the film an intriguing 2026 sleeper hit.
