Toxic Surpasses Dhurandhar 2 In Advance Bookings

Yash starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups has opened to strong interest after its worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026. The Geetu Mohandas directorial generated significant pre-release demand and reportedly surpassed Dhurandhar 2 in advance ticket sales, giving the film a major boost ahead of its first day box office results.
According to the reported booking figures, Dhurandhar 2 sold around 14 lakh tickets through advance sales, while Toxic crossed approximately 16 lakh tickets. The strong numbers have increased expectations for the film’s opening. Trade observers are now watching closely to see whether Yash’s latest movie can cross the ₹100 crore mark on its first day.
Ahead of the release, the Toxic team issued an appeal to audiences, describing the film as the result of years of work by its actors, technicians and other crew members. The makers urged viewers to experience the movie on the big screen rather than through unofficial recordings or clips shared online.
The team also requested fans not to record scenes inside theatres or reveal important story details and twists on social media. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. With strong advance bookings and high expectations, the film is now aiming for a powerful pan-India theatrical run.
