Robot Shankar: CNN IBN Indian of the Year

Handy craftsman and a creative genius Shankar is chosen as the CNN IBN Indian of the Year 2010, instituted by leading television network CNN IBN. Undoubtedly this would be the rare recognition a South Indian film technician is offered with in recent times and the credit goes to imagination of ‘Robot’ and making it possible.

Shankar will be honored with the award in a grand function to be held in New Delhi on December 22. Shankar pushed besides Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Salman Khan, director Vikramaditya Motwane and Shillong Chamber Choir in the tough selection process of CNN IBN. Till date, Shankar has just directed 10 movies and all of them block busters.
