Music composer Ilaiyaraaja has sent a legal notice to the makers of Ajith Kumar's film Good Bad Ugly, alleging that three of his songs were used in the film without permission. The notice demands Rs 5 crore as compensation and the removal of the songs from the film within seven days. Ilaiyaraaja warned that he will take legal action if the money is not paid.

This is not the first time Ilaiyaraaja has sent notices to filmmakers for using his songs without permission, having done so in the past for films like Manjummel Boys. The notice has sparked interest in the ongoing debate about music rights and permissions in the film industry.

Ilaiyaraaja's demand for compensation and removal of the songs highlights the importance of obtaining proper permissions before using copyrighted material. The outcome of this case will likely have implications for future cases involving music rights and permissions.

Despite the controversy, Good Bad Ugly is performing well at the box office. The film, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has collected around Rs 100 crore in five days of its release. The film surpassed Ajith's previous film Vidamuyarchi's lifetime collection of Rs 136 crore in just four days. The film's success can be attributed to its engaging storyline, mass action sequences, and the star-studded cast, including Ajith Kumar, Sunil, Shine Tom Chacko, and Trisha.
