Makers Missed Golden Opportunity

Careless planning leads filmmakers in losses

Careless planning landed filmmakers in losses. 4 April 2025 is witnessing a virtually dry Friday and this is ultimately disappointing movie lovers. Many feel that the careless planning by the filmmakers in slotting their film releases not only landed them in losses but also robbed movie lovers of wholesome entertainment.

Last Friday witnessed the release of Telugu films like Mad Square, Robinhood and dubbed films like Veera Dheera Soora and L2-Empuraan apart from Salman Khan's Sikandar. Irrespective of the films performances at the box office had the makers of few of these films, planned their film releases this week, they wouldn't have witnessed other films eat into their collections.

For example Robinhood which released on the same day as Mad Square witnessed that Mad Square triumph over it and virtually robbing into its collections. Not to say that Robinhood is an extraordinary movie but had the film had solo release it would have got better openings.

Wonder when will the makers stop pinning their films against each other virtually impacting their collections digging their own grave rather than release their films in a healthy atmosphere and propagate ' Live and Let Live'.
