Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar speaking questioned the logics in Rajamouli's films. He said “Conviction is key. If you analyze the journey of top filmmakers, you’ll find that the biggest hits are rooted in belief. Logic doesn’t always matter in a film. Take Rajamouli sir’s movies, for example—where is the logic? You don’t see it. What you do see is conviction. And when conviction leads, the audience follows.”
He added “Look at the biggest blockbusters—whether it’s Animal, RRR, or Gadar. These films are made with conviction. If you can take down a thousand people with a single hand pump, that’s conviction. Anil Sharma believed in Sunny Deol’s strength, and that belief translated onto the screen. I think every filmmaker should have this ingrained in their DNA. The problem arises when you start doubting yourself, overanalyzing audience expectations, and focusing too much on logic.”
Karan Johar is currently bankrolling the project Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which stars Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf directed by Shashank Khaithan.
