Naga Chaitanya is bracing for a pan India strike with Thandel and the film is based on real life incidences involving the fishermen and their ordeals when captured by the Pakistani navy.

The film's promotions increased expectations on the project and according to the latest, Nagarjuna watched his son Naga Chaitanya's Thandel in a special show at Annapurna Studios. After watching the film, Nagarjuna turned emotional and speaking about the film said Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi came up with their career best performances.

Nagarjuna is moved by the emotional climax and the character arc and the depth in Naga Chaitanya's role. The film's music is tuned by Devi Sri Prasad and is produced by Bunny Vas on Geetha Arts and Allu Aravind is presenting it.
