Thandel Will Not Be Seen In OTT Any Time Sooner

Thandel the upcoming romantic drama starring Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya is all set to hit the screens on February 7 2025. However the film OTT release has been pushed by one and a half months thanks to a special deal locked by the makers Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas. According to reports Thandel will not be available on OTT until it completes 50 days in theaters.

The film digital rights have been acquired by Netflix for a massive sum. However the OTT giant is reportedly in discussions with the makers for an early OTT release in case the film underperforms at the box office. This approach is similar to what happened with Game Changer which was initially set to release on OTT 56 days after its theatrical release but was later made available for streaming just under a month after its release due to its poor box office performance.

Thandel is a romantic drama based on a real life couple from Vizag whose story of separation and reunion became a sensational topic a few years ago. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead and reports suggest that her role will be crucial to the story. Naga Chaitanya portrays a fisherman who gets stranded in Pakistani waters and is arrested. The film music has been composed by DSP and it has been produced by Bunny Vas.

As of now Thandel is expected to arrive on OTT only by the third week of March 2025. The film will hit the screens on February 7 2025 in a grand release. With its unique storyline and talented cast Thandel is expected to perform well at the box office.
