Khushi Kapoor is awaiting the release of her debut film Loveyappa. The film also stars Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan.
Ahead of the film's release on 7 February 2025, Khushi Kapoor shared her thoughts on beauty standards. She said “You cannot be delusional and assume that everyone is going to have extremely positive things to say about you. However, at the same time, you can't assume that everything is just mindless hate, and it's not something that you can benefit from hearing. You have to kind of decide what is something you should really take seriously and learn from and what is something you can avoid.”
She continued “Obviously, things that I have no control over, such as how I look, are not something I should really take to heart, but if someone has something to say about my performance and if I feel I can use [that criticism] to improve myself, then definitely I want to know what people have to say. I don't think it's something you should completely ignore, but it's something you should be mindful about.”
She concluded “This whole plastic surgery thing, I don’t think it is that deep. The main thing on social media, the term that people like to say the most is ‘oh we don't like her, she's plastic.’ What people don't like is that there's a false standard of beauty, that is set when people say that we're completely natural or we’ve not done anything, and we wake up like this. It sets a false beauty standard for a lot of young people today. You don't wake up looking like this.”
She ended saying “I've had a whole team to get me ready today. It took me a long time. So, I think it's about transparency, it's about being honest and open with people and your audience, you can't have this fake narrative of everyone being born beautiful and all actresses are just naturally looking the way they do on screen.”
