Director Nag Ashwin Waits for Dates to Begin Kalki Sequel

Prabhas is undoubtedly one of the busiest Pan India stars currently with a strong lineup of films in his kitty. After the massive success of Kalki 2898AD, he is currently juggling two films Raja Saab directed by Maruthi and Fauji directed by Hanu Raghava Pudi. Additionally Spirit directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is also on the cards. Amidst this chaos director Nag Ashwin is eagerly waiting for Prabhas dates to begin shooting for the sequel to Kalki 2898AD.

The director had cleverly shot some scenes related to Part 2 while filming the first part. However the major shooting is still pending and Nag Ashwin is patiently waiting for Prabhas to wrap up his current commitments. Initially the makers had planned to start shooting for the second part of Kalki from June 2025 with a release date slated for 2026. However due to Prabhas jam packed schedule the sequel plan has undergone a change.

The fact that Prabhas dates are difficult to come by even for a film that has already achieved blockbuster success is a testament to his strong lineup. The producers of Kalki sequel are now planning to release the film in late 2026 or 2027 considering Prabhas busy schedule. This development has left fans eagerly waiting to see how Prabhas will manage his time to accommodate the sequel to Kalki 2898AD.
