Dhanush-rajkumar Periasamy turning D55 as a sensation. Rajkumar Periasamy captured the imagination of all with the film Amaran. The film which starred Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi is based on the real life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. Following this he got the golden opportunity to direct Dhanush upcoming project referred to D55.

Now reports are coming that the film is an investigative thriller and is based on real life incidents. Rajkumar Periasamy during an interview said that there are many real life heroes in the society and one can do wonders if their lives are shown on the silver screen. D55 is based on a real life story and it revolvers around a crime investigation in real life incident.

Dhanush will be sporting a completely different look in the film. Reports have it that Shruti Haasan is the female lead and when the makers contacted her she readily gave her green signal.
