Allu Arjun, the Telugu star and National Award recipient, recently wrapped up filming for his much-anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. While busy with the promotions for the same, the actor opened up about his experiences while shooting for the upcoming movie as well as the first blockbuster, Pushpa: The Rise. Allu Arjun's journey has certainly been emotional, and he made a heartfelt confession during a recent press conference in Mumbai.
Allu Arjun revealed that he had been eager to finish filming Pushpa so he could finally shave off his beard, an iconic element of his character's look. The reason behind this was that he had been unable to kiss his baby girl properly for the past three to four years because of the same. Allu Arjun said: "I shot this film for almost five years, including the first and second parts. I was waiting for this film to get over so that I could clean shave. My daughter doesn't come to me because I can't kiss her because I haven't kissed her properly in the last three to four years."
Allu Arjun also opened up about a heartfelt moment he shared with his co-star, Rashmika Mandanna, who finished filming a day before him. The actor revealed that she had teared up, and he comforted her by saying: "I was like, 'Are you joking? Why are you tearing up? She was like, 'In almost seven years of my career, I have shot for this film for five years, it's (set) like a home.' I said, 'We will miss you, and that life goes on.'" Yet, when Allu Arjun wrapped up filming himself, he couldn't help but get overwhelmed with emotion either.
The actor confessed to going 'quiet' because of the thoughts running through his head and said: "The next day, when I finished my shoot, I went quiet. It got very heavy for me. I saw all the faces and I thought how for the last five years I have been seeing the same people." Allu Arjun also talked about the reason why he was desperate to see Pushpa succeed, which has to do with the entire team's efforts over the last five years and his sense of responsibility to them.
