Roti Kapda Romance story is all about four friends and their journey regarding their friendship, love journey etc, and where it will lead to the twists and turns in their lives.
Harsha (Harsha Narra) a prankster, Surya (Tarun Ponuganti) a RJ, Rahul (Sandeep Saroj) a Software Engineer, Vicky (Supraj Ranga) lead happy lives sharing moments as bachelors. However their lives take a drastic turn with the entry of a bold girl Sonia (Khushboo Choudhary), a die hard fan Divya (Nuveksha), Team lead Priya (Sonu Thakur), and Swetha (Megha Lekha). Where this leads to form the rest of the developments.
Sandeep Saroj performed well as a software engineer who has his own views about love and marriage. He showed good emotions and expressions as a confused and subdued youngster unable to express his feelings. Sonu Thakur is good in the role of as a team lead.
Harsha performed well in the role of a prankster who gets dragged into the love by a bold girl. Khushboo Chaudhary indulged in the glamour treat in a bold avatar.
Swetha did well in the role of a girl who aspires to get a good job and how her preferences change after that. Supraj Ranga did well in the role of a youngster who believes in enjoying the happy moments rather than running after money.
Tarun Ponuganti performed well in the role of an energetic and extrovert RJ. He showed good emotions and expressions in his role. Nuveksha did well in her role as the diehard fan and she looked good on the screen.
Director Vikram Reddy pens Roti Kapda Romance story. He tried to entertain movie lovers with a realistic youthful entertainer.
He interestingly starts the narration with one of the friends planning a get-together after many years and then the story shifting to flashback mode telling the developments in the lives of these four friends respectively.
The first half is loaded with youthful elements and though most of them are predictable, they managed to entertain viewers. The interval block managed to keep the interest levels intact in the run-up to the second half.
While the first half is youthful, director Vikram Reddy concentrates on elevating the emotions of all the characters. The entertaining elements goes missing and with the story assuming a serious tone, viewers get irritated after a point of time. But the pre-climax and climax sent a good message to the youngsters.
The story has few interesting elements and the screenplay is average with the direction turning out to be decent. Few more creative scenes and ideas would have added value to the story.
Editing in the film turned out to be a big letdown. There are many drags and repetitive scenes in the film. The narration got dragged testing the patience of the viewers.
Santosh Reddy's cinematography is good. He turned the scenes colorful and appealing with his camera angles.
The music is tuned by music directors Harshavardhan Rameshwar, R R Dhruvan, and Vasanth G.
A couple of songs are foot-tapping and youthful. Few acted as speed breakers. The background score of Sunny MR is soulful and touching.
Dialogues are entertaining, few are thought-provoking and soul-stirring. Production values are good.
Altogether, Roti Kapda Romance turns out to be a youthful entertainer. Director Vikram Reddy tried to show their journey of four friends and their romantic elements entertainingly. However monotonous and predictable Elements played the spoilsport. Little fine-tuning of the script would have helped. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating for Roti Kapda Romance.
