Ranbir Kapoor made this announcement at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), where he was in conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail. The actor shared that the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC), National Film Archives of India (NFAI), and Film Heritage Foundation (FHF) have started restoring 10 films of Raj Kapoor. Ranbir expressed his excitement about the film festival, which will be a tribute to his grandfather's contribution to Indian cinema.

Ranbir Kapoor also recalled a personal anecdote about his wife, Alia Bhatt, not knowing who Kishore Kumar was when they first met.
