As Suriya gears up for the November 14 release of Kanguva, he has addressed speculation surrounding his highly anticipated project with director Vetrimaaran, Vaadivaasal. In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Suriya confirmed that the film is still on track, despite delays and other commitments.
Vaadivaasal, a Tamil film centered around jallikattu sports, has generated significant interest since its announcement. The makers had earlier released a video of Suriya practicing bull-taming, sparking excitement among fans. Although reports suggested the project had been shelved, Suriya reassured that production will commence once all parties involved complete their current commitments.
"We did two days of shoot. Vetrimaaran is finishing his film Viduthalai and Thanu sir is also waiting. My bulls too are waiting. We should hopefully start soon," Suriya stated. Vaadivaasal is backed by Kalaipuli S Thanu under V Creations banner, with no release date announced yet.
Vetrimaaran is currently wrapping up Viduthalai – Part 2, slated for release on December 20. The period action drama stars Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Manju Warrier, among others. With Suriya's confirmation, fans can look forward to Vaadivaasal's eventual release, marking a significant collaboration between the acclaimed actor and director.
