Raghava Lawrence, a multifaceted talent in the Indian film industry, celebrates his birthday today. This actor, director, choreographer, and music composer has come a long way, overcoming incredible challenges to achieve success.

From Struggle to Stardom

Born with a brain tumor, Raghava Lawrence's childhood was marked by financial struggles and health issues. However, with Lord Raghavendra's blessings, he survived the disease and transformed his life. As a token of gratitude, he added "Raghava" to his name and even built a temple for the lord.

Rise to Fame

Lawrence's journey began with humble odd jobs, including washing cars for stunt master Super Subbarayan. Rajinikanth spotted his dancing talent on the sets of "Uzhaippali" and connected him with the Dancer's union. This breakthrough led to choreographing for Chiranjeevi in "Hitler" and catapulted him to stardom.

A Versatile Career

Raghava Lawrence then turned into star choreographer, director, hero. He acted as Choreographer for numerous South Indian films

 After Akkineni Nagarjuna made him a director with blockbuster "Mass" he continues as a director and delivered superhit films like "Mass," "Don," and "Rebel". He turned as actor with Balachander's "Paarthale Paravasam" and his "Kanchana" series where he directed and starred as a hero catapulted his stardom. He also composed music for various projects

Current Projects

Lawrence is currently working on a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, His 25th film as a hero titled 'Kala Bhairava' in Ramesh Varma's direction who is known for making gripping action thrillers. Lawrence is also kickstarting the next installment in his highly successful 'Kanchana' franchise titled 'Durga'.
