Vidya Balan, a renowned actress known for her captivating performances in films like Parineeta, Munnabhai Lageraho, Kahani, and Bhool Bhulaiya, has a new reason to be proud. Her father, P.R. Balan, is making his acting debut in Twinkle Khanna's production, "Go Noni Go." He plays the role of Mr. Banker alongside veteran actress Dimple Kapadia, who stars as Noni.
Based on Twinkle Khanna's short story "Salaam Noni Appa," the film features an impressive cast, including Manav Kaul and Rohan Mehra. Interestingly, Karan Johar has lent his voice to the Red Fiat driven by Noni's character. Directed by Sonal Dabral and co-produced by Sameer Nair, Atul Kasbekar, and Tanuj Garg, "Go Noni Go" premiered at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024.
During the premiere, the team introduced P.R. Balan, revealing that Vidya Balan initially thought her father's acting debut was a joke. However, he agreed to take on the role and requested the team to contact him directly. The crowd gave him a warm applause for his performance, indicating he expertly pulled off the part.
As Vidya Balan prepares for her upcoming role in Bhool Bhulaiya 3 alongside Madhuri Dixit, her father's acting debut marks an exciting new chapter for the Balan family.
