A 2008 interview of Salman Khan, resurfaced on social media, has reignited the debate surrounding his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The interview, shared on Reddit, sees Salman denying shooting the endangered animal, claiming "I wasn't the one who shot the blackbuck."

This statement, coupled with his nonchalant demeanor when discussing the jail experience, has sparked fresh discussions on the internet. While some fans remain steadfast in their belief of his innocence, others have taken to Reddit to dissect the interview and speculate about the truth.

The case, which has stretched over 26 years, involves Salman Khan, along with co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, and Sonali Bendre, accused of poaching blackbucks in Rajasthan. The actor has faced arrest, bail, acquittal, conviction, and further bail, highlighting the complex legal history of the case.

Adding fuel to the fire, Salman has also been targeted by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who consider blackbucks sacred and demand an apology from the actor. The gang's recent threat, demanding a Rs 5 crore settlement, was later retracted as a "mistake," according to the Mumbai police.

Despite the ongoing legal and personal battles, Salman remains busy professionally. He's currently hosting Bigg Boss 18 and prepping for his Eid release "Sikandar" alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The resurfaced interview, however, serves as a reminder of the lingering controversy surrounding the blackbuck case, a case that has followed the actor for decades.
