Tamil Sports Drama Lubber Pandhu Emerges As Blockbuster

Lubber Pandhu, directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, has taken the box office by storm since its September 20 release. Starring Harish Kalyan and Dinesh, the film has captivated cricket enthusiasts and cinema lovers, grossing over Rs 37 crores in Tamil Nadu.

The film's compelling narrative and relatable characters have contributed to its commercial success, despite competing with five other films. Initially scheduled for OTT release on October 18, 2024, the digital premiere has been postponed to October 31, coinciding with Diwali.

This six-week theatrical window is a rarity in Tamil cinema, highlighting Lubber Pandhu's significant impact. The film will be available on Disney Plus Hotstar in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Produced by Lakshman Kumar and Venkatesh under Prince Pictures, Lubber Pandhu boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Swasika, Sanjana, Kaali Venkat, Devadarshini, and Bala Saravanan. With an evocative score by Sean Roldan, this sports drama is set to continue its winning streak on OTT.
