While the film garnered widespread praise, a specific hospital scene has recently come under criticism from renowned doctor, Dr. Guruva Reddy, MD of KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals.

In a recent podcast, Dr. Reddy expressed his disappointment with the scene, stating that it has negatively impacted the perception of the medical field. "Whoever wrote that scene has greatly harmed the medical field. It is one of the worst scenes ever created in cinema by VV Vinayak," he said.

Dr. Reddy pointed out that the scene portrays doctors as solely focused on financial gain, suggesting that they admit patients to the ICU only to increase their bills. He also criticized the scene's portrayal of doctors being held responsible for unexpected complications, emphasizing that the scene fuels a misconception that doctors are expected to "prove" they did not cause the patient's death.

Dr. Reddy further shared that he had personally discussed the scene with Chiranjeevi, highlighting its detrimental impact on the medical community. "Chiranjeevi garu is one of my friends. He has had me as a guest at his place several times. I told him the episode in 'Tagore' ruined our peace of mind. The scene was much worse, but Chiranjeevi garu got it toned down," he revealed.

Dr. Reddy's criticism has sparked discussion about the responsibility of filmmakers to accurately portray professions, especially those that are crucial to public health. It remains to be seen whether the "Tagore" scene will be revisited or addressed by filmmakers in the future.
