In a conversation with comedian Kusha Kapila, the actress revealed her dating preferences and discussed a recurring issue she's faced - men assuming she should always pick up the tab due to her financial independence.

"I feel like financial independence for women is super important, but on the flip side, I have had instances where the guy just doesn't offer to pay because they think, 'You have money,'" Shruti shared, highlighting a frustrating trend she's experienced.

While Shruti admitted that paying for things is her "love language," she's learned a valuable lesson: "I offer... you want it, I will get it. I'll pay the bill because that's my nature. But after three months, I'm like, 'Nine times we've eaten out, and you haven't paid.' And he's like, 'Oh, but I thought you loved it, and you have so much money.' So now I'm very particular that it's split."

Shruti's ideal man would possess a "good sense of humour," "likes to have fun," and understands the importance of financial sensitivity in relationships. She advises couples to choose dates that are affordable for both parties.

Shruti was previously in a relationship with artist Santanu Hazarika, which ended earlier this year. The actress is currently busy with multiple projects, including "Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryaanga Parvam" in Telugu and "Coolie" with Rajinikanth in Tamil.
