Karthik Subbaraj Unveils the Heart of Suriya44: A Love Story, Not a Gangster Flick.

Suriya, currently promoting his upcoming Pan-India action drama "Kanguva," is set to captivate audiences with his next project, "Suriya44," directed by the acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. While the film's production wrapped up in a record five months, speculation has been rife about its genre, with many assuming it would be a gangster action drama based on initial glimpses.

However, in a recent interview, Karthik Subbaraj made a surprising revelation, stating, "If I am making some film, people will think of it as a gangster flick. But 'Suriya44' is not a gangster film. It's a love story. There will be plenty of action, but the love story is the film's core. For many years I wanted to do a love story. I was very excited when Suriya sir and Pooja Hegde came on board."

He further clarified, "There is definitely a lot of action, but it's not a film about gangsters. It's not a gangster story. I don't know how all these speculations started."

With the stunning Pooja Hegde as the female lead, "Suriya44" is set to showcase a captivating love story, amidst the action-packed backdrop that Karthik Subbaraj is known for.
