Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film "Vettaiyan" hit theaters on Thursday, directed by TJ Gnanavel and boasting a star-studded cast from various industries. The film has already made a significant impact, collecting Rs 30 crore (nett) in India across all languages, with Tamil Nadu contributing Rs 26 crore. This impressive opening is no surprise, given Rajinikanth's massive fan base in the south.

"Vettaiyan" is an action-drama featuring Rajinikanth as a police officer known for carrying out encounters with ease. The film's plot takes a turn when one of his assignments changes his perspective, leading him to expose a larger crime syndicate.
