The Telugu version of "Vettaiyan" has been titled "Vettaiyan The Hunter," a move that has sparked outrage amongst Telugu audiences. While the team had initially planned to name the Telugu version "Vetagadu," they were unable to secure the rights as the title was already registered by another filmmaker.
