Producer Accuses Prakash Raj Of One Crore Loss

Renowned actor Prakash Raj has been accused by film producer Vinod Kumar of causing a significant loss of ₹1cr on his movie set due to unexplained absences. Kumar took to social media to publicly question Prakash Raj's disappearance from the set without prior notice.

The allegations surfaced when Prakash Raj shared a photo with Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Chief Minister MK Stalin. Vinod Kumar responded with a comment, highlighting Prakash Raj's alleged unprofessional behavior, stating, "You made a loss of 1 crore in my shooting set, disappearing from the caravan without informing us!"

According to Producer Vinod Kumar, the incident occurred on September 30, 2024, during a 4-day schedule for Prakash Raj. He claimed that Prakash Raj received a call from another production and abandoned the set, leaving the cast and crew stunned. This led to a halt in production and significant financial losses.

Prakash Raj has yet to respond to the allegations. The actor has previously collaborated with Vinod Kumar on the 2021 Tamil film Enemy. Prakash Raj's upcoming projects include Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna.
