Rumors have been circulating about Pooja Hegde taking on Kajal Aggarwal's role in Vijay's upcoming 69th film, which was launched yesterday. However, a source close to the project has dismissed these claims.

"Firstly, the film is a straight Tamil subject and not a remake of the Telugu film 'Bhagavanath Kesari'," the source clarified. "Therefore, Pooja is not reprising Kajal Aggarwal's role, and those reports are false."

Instead, the source revealed that Pooja will be playing the romantic interest to Vijay in what promises to be an action-packed romantic entertainer.

Meanwhile, Pooja is currently working with another Tamil superstar, Suriya, in his 44th film, a highly anticipated project in Kollywood. "She is thrilled to be working with a talented star like Suriya and renowned director Karthick Subbaraj, known for his innovative ideas," the source stated.

This marks Pooja's second collaboration with Vijay after their successful partnership in "Beast." The actress is known for her preference to work with top stars, aiming to maintain her star power. "She prefers working with reigning stars to keep her ratings high," the source added.
