Suriya is set to make a grand comeback to the big screens with the upcoming period fantasy film, Kanguva, directed by Siva. The movie, one of the most anticipated projects in Tamil cinema, promises to be a visual extravaganza. According to the synopsis, Kanguva is an epic saga where ancient valour meets modern-day courage, revolving around a tribal warrior's struggle to save his people a millennium ago and its mysterious link to a shadow cop's quest in the present. The film features Suriya in a double role as tribal leader Kanguva and a modern-day shadow cop, alongside Bobby Deol as the lead antagonist Udhiran and Disha Patani making her Tamil cinema debut.

The massive star cast includes Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Jagapati Babu, and others in supporting roles.
