Renowned choreographer Jani Master, arrested in a sexual harassment case, has been granted interim bail by a trial court to receive the National Award for Best Choreography. Jani Master's police custody ended recently, and he was shifted to Upparapally court, where he was remanded to jail until October 3.
According to reports, Jani Master confessed to the crime, as stated in the police remand report. His wife, Ayesha, claims her husband is innocent, despite allegedly providing information leading to his arrest in Goa. Jani Master filed a petition for interim bail, seeking a five-day non-liquor bail to receive the National Award.
The court granted Jani Master interim bail from October 6 to 10, allowing him to travel to Delhi to receive the award for his work on the song from Dhanush-starrer Thiru, which won Best Choreography.
Jani Master's temporary release has sparked mixed reactions in the Telugu states, where his case has garnered significant attention. The choreographer's National Award win has been overshadowed by the controversy surrounding his arrest.
