Karthi Satyam Sundaram Holds Good At Box Office

Tamil family drama "Meiyazhagan" (released as "Satyam Sundaram" in Telugu), starring Karthi and Arvind Swami, has performed impressively at the box office. Released on September 27 (Tamil) and September 28 (Telugu), the film crossed ₹10 crore in just three days and added ₹2 crore on its fourth day, totaling ₹16.05 crore net collection.

Despite competing with Jr NTR's "Devara: Part 1", "Meiyazhagan"/"Satyam Sundaram" maintained a steady pace. The gross worldwide collection stands at ₹24 crore, with ₹20 crore from Tamil and ₹4 crore from Telugu versions. Directed by 96 fame C Prem Kumar.

The family drama follows a 40-year-old man's return to his hometown after 22 years, triggering significant life changes. Lead actor Karthi expressed gratitude for the film's success on X, stating, "As I finished reading 'Meiyazhagan', a great sense of love and compassion filled my heart...
