Rajinikanth's cameo-filled film "Lal Salaam", directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is finally heading to Netflix after its theatrical release in February. The sports action drama, produced by Lyca Productions, had faced an unusual delay in its OTT debut due to a lost hard disk containing crucial footage.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth recently revealed that some of the lost footage has been retrieved, enabling the creation of an extended director's cut. This new version will differ significantly from the theatrical cut and align with the filmmaker's original vision. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles and features music by the legendary AR Rahman.

"Lal Salaam" received mixed reviews upon its release, exploring themes of cricket, Hindu-Muslim unity, and social harmony. The film boasts a talented supporting cast, including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah. With its Netflix debut imminent, fans can soon experience Aishwarya Rajinikanth's reimagined vision.

While Netflix has not officially announced the release date, "Lal Salaam" is expected to become available for streaming soon. The film's OTT debut will provide a second chance for audiences to engage with the story and its themes. As Rajinikanth prepares for his upcoming film "Vettaiyan", "Lal Salaam" will offer a unique perspective on his daughter's directorial skills and creative vision.
