Tamil Raviteja adopts Namratha

Karthi, brother of Suriya who is presently doing the Kollywood version of Raviteja’s ‘Vikramarkudu’ has proved his kind heart yesterday when he visited Vandalur Zoo with his niece Diya (Daughter of Suriya and Jyothika). Yes, Karthi adopted Namratha, a one year old white tiger cub.

‘I am happy that I can help in the conservation of the tiger which is at the top of the pyramid. Conserving the tiger is like conserving the forest itself. As a wildlife enthusiast, I visited the zoo often as a child but I never thought I would have the opportunity to adopt a tiger,’ Karthi said. 

Karthi adopted Namratha by paying Rs. 77,000 in the form of a cheque to the member secretary of the Tamil Nadu Zoo Authority. This money will be used towards the food and maintenance of Namratha at the zoo.
