Actor Sundeep Kishan's restaurant, "Vivaha Bhojanambu," has come under scrutiny from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) after an inspection revealed several violations of food safety standards.

The FSSAI Task Force conducted an inspection at the Secunderabad branch of the restaurant, uncovering a number of issues that require immediate attention.

The most serious violation involved the discovery of a 25kg bag of expired Chittimutyalu Rice, past its "Best Before" date. This highlights a serious lapse in inventory management and potentially puts customer health at risk.

Further, the inspection found that the storage of raw and semi-prepared foods lacked proper labeling, and some dustbins were without lids, raising concerns about hygiene and contamination.

The restaurant also failed to provide medical fitness certificates for its food handlers, a mandatory requirement under FSSAI regulations. While the food handlers were observed wearing hairnets and uniforms, indicating some adherence to hygiene standards, the inspection also found issues with the water used in food preparation and service.

The FSSAI has issued a directive to the management of "Vivaha Bhojanambu" to immediately rectify these violations to ensure the health and safety of their customers. The restaurant is expected to address the issues promptly, including disposing of the expired rice, improving storage practices, providing necessary documentation for food handlers, and addressing the water quality concerns.

This incident serves as a reminder for all food establishments to prioritize food safety measures and comply with FSSAI regulations. The FSSAI's actions demonstrate their commitment to ensuring that food establishments maintain high standards of hygiene and safety for the public.
