Rishabh Shetty, the name is only familiar with Kannada film audience and those who follow Sandalwood regularly has been resonates throughout the nation with monumental success of 'Kantara'. Rishabh has acted, written and directed 'Kantara' which made him popular as a multi talented personality at a Pan India level. 

Rishabh Shetty was born and brought up in Karanataka has been interested in stage plays right from his college. He was appreciated for his work and success in these plays encouraged him to pursue acting as a professional career. After his college, Rishabh did many odd jobs and started his career in Films as light boy, spot boy, and assistant. 

His career turned since he met Rakshit Shetty, an actor, writer and Dircetor who has brought a new age cinema in Kannada industry. Rishabh's first major role was in the movie Tuglak. He played a small role of a police officer in Pawan Kumar's Lucia and then played a key role in the film Ulidavaru Kandante, which was directed by Rakshit Shetty. 

Then in 2016, his debut directorial movie Ricky starring Rakshit Shetty released which received an average response at the box office. In the same year, he directed Kirik Party, which became an industry hit. After Kirik Party Shetty went on to direct Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, which went on winning the National Film Award for Best Children's Film at the 66th National Film Awards. He debuted as a lead in Bell Bottom which became a hit and then starred in Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vaahana directed by Raj Shetty which won numerous accolades.

In 2022, Kantara happened. The film which was made with a budget of Rs 14 Crores has ended up collecting Rs 400 crores stunning entire Indian Film Industry. Initially released only in the Kannada language and after receiving rave reviews and a massive box office collection, the movie was released in four other Indian languages. The movie garnered nationwide appreciation. Now he is busy in crafting prequel to Kantara, titled 'Kantara: Chapter 1'.
