Filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who has garnered praise for his latest sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 Ad," has shed light on the collaborative spirit of his two leading actors, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. He highlighted Prabhas's willingness to be physically involved in action sequences, even being "hit" by Bachchan, a rare gesture in today's film industry.

During a recent interview, Ashwin shared that Prabhas, a South Indian superstar, was fully invested in the story and had no qualms about screen time. "It's a big deal for a mainstream actor to be hit by another actor," Ashwin said, "because we're living in a world where heroes are untouchable. But he was fully on board; he wanted to be hit by Amitabh Bachchan."

Ashwin also expressed admiration for Prabhas's commitment to experimental filmmaking, stating, "With Prabhas, you always know that he's there to support you in your experiments." He went on to praise Bachchan, calling him an inspiration in every way.

"Whatever Bachchan sir does is an inspiration," Ashwin said. "The way he orders a sandwich is an inspiration."

During a pre-release event, Prabhas reciprocated the respect, praising Bachchan's widespread popularity in the South. Amitabh Bachchan, too, acknowledged the potential for his character's actions in the film to cause a stir among Prabhas's fans. "I apologize with my folded hands," he said in a promotional interview, "Don't massacre me after you see what I do in the film."

"Kalki 2898 Ad," featuring multiple action sequences between Prabhas's Bhairava and Amitabh Bachchan's Ashwatthama, showcases the powerful collaboration between these two cinematic icons, driven by mutual respect and a shared passion for compelling storytelling.
