Krishnamma braces for sudden OTT streaming

Satyadev's revenge drama "Krishnamma," which hit theatres last Friday, has made an unexpected and rapid move to the digital space. The film is now available for streaming on Prime Video in Telugu audio with English subtitles.

This swift transition from theatres to OTT is attributed to the film's disappointing box office performance. Despite positive reviews for Satyadev's performance and strong promotional efforts, the film failed to attract audiences.

The release of "Krishnamma" on OTT within a week of its theatrical release is highly unusual for Telugu films, highlighting the makers' decision to explore alternative avenues for reaching viewers.

The film features a supporting cast including Laxman Meesala, Krishna, Archana, Raghu Kunche, and Nandagopal, with music composed by Kaala Bhairava. Directed by V.V. Gopalakrishna, "Krishnamma" is presented by acclaimed director Koratala Siva and produced by Krishna Kommalapati under the banner of Arunachala Creations.
