Kangana Emergency postponed due to polls. The release of Kangana Ranaut's highly anticipated film "Emergency", a biographical drama on the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, has been postponed amidst her ongoing political campaign for the BJP.

Initially slated for a June 14th release, the film's makers announced the delay on May 15th, citing Kangana's commitment to her political duties. The announcement expressed admiration for Kangana,  referring to her as "our queen," and acknowledged her dedication to serving the nation.  A new release date has yet to be announced.

Kangana Ranaut, who portrays Indira Gandhi in the film, has been campaigning for the BJP in the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. She has stated that she sees herself as a dedicated public servant rather than a politician, drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  She also emphasized a natural alignment with the BJP's ideology and a commitment to serving the people.

"Emergency,"  Kangana's second directorial venture following "Manikarnika," is a grand period drama featuring an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, the late Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade.

The postponement of "Emergency" has sparked speculation regarding its future release, as the film's initial release date of November 24, 2023, was also delayed.  The situation highlights the balancing act between artistic pursuits and political aspirations, and the public will eagerly await updates on the film's release schedule.
