Nayanthara is one of the very few actresses who can draw audiences to theatres by doing female oriented films. Off late she is either doing big films or female oriented films where she plays the lead role. Latest news is she okayed a female oriented film to be directed by Director turned Hero, Sasi Kumar, who is being lauded for his exceptional work in much acclaimed 'Subrahmaniapuram'.
Sasikumar, the director-actor, made his directorial debut with 'Subramaniapuram' in 2008, and he proved his skills well through the rural entertainer. Playing a supporting role in his directorial debut, Sasikumar then opted to play lead roles in films, and he then directed the only film 'Easan' released in 2010.
Sasikumar then didn't turn his head in that direction, as he kept his full focus as an actor. According to the latest report doing the rounds on social media, Sasikumar is planning to make his directorial comeback, after 14 years and the film will have Nayanthara in the lead role.
Sasikumar has reportedly narrated a female-oriented subject, Nayanthara, and the actress has also reportedly expressed her interest in doing the film. The initial talks for the film are on, and a leading production is expected to bankroll the project.
