Vijay Trademark Selfie With Fans In Kerala Went Viral

It has become a tradition for Thalapathy Vijay to take a selfie with his fans while shooting in outdoors. It all started with taking a selfie with sea of fans in the background during his 'Master' shoot. He continues doing so for all of his films which were shot outdoors. Vijay, who is in Kerala to shoot for 'GOAT', posted his signature selfie video as thousands of fans roared and cheered for him in the background. He also thanked his Malayalam fans for their grand welcome.

Vijay is in Kerala for 'GOAT' shoot. The actor returned to the state after 14 years. He enjoys massive stardom in Kerala state. His films compete with Malayalam Star heroes films in terms of revenue in Kerala. Vijay, on March 22, shared a selfie video after his fans turned up in huge numbers for his mere glimpse.

Sharing the video, Vijay expressed his gratitude to his fans in Kerala and wrote, "Ente Aniyathimaar , aniyanmaar, chettanmaar, chechimaar ammamaar! Ella Malayalikalkkum ente Hridayam Niranja Nanni", loosely translated to, 'My younger sisters, younger brothers, elder brothers, elder sisters, and dear mothers! Heartfelt thanks to all Malayalis'.

Vijay has teamed up with director Venkat Prabhu for 'GOAT'. The film is expected to be wrapped soon and is likely to hit the theatres later this year. Vijay will play two roles in the film. Trisha Krishnan is likely to play a cameo. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music. The ensemble cast also includes Meenakshii Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Laila, Mohan, Aravind Akash and Ajay Raj.
